How
do I add a new e-mail account to Exchange?
- On the server, go to
Start → Programs → Administrative Tools → Active Directory Users
and Computers.
- In the left pane,
right click on Users and select New and then User
- Fill in the first and
last name
- In the User Login Name
box, fill in the appropriate user name that follows your network
protocol. ex: Tyler Newton is tnewton, or tyler or tylern
- Click Next
- Type in a password for
this user, again following your network protocol
- Place a check in the
box for User cannot change password and password never expires.
- Click Next
- (Optional): Select
whether or not to create a mailbox for this user and click on
Next
- Click on Finish
How do I setup
Outlook for an Exchange mailbox?
- On the workstation, go
to Start → Control Panel
- Double click on Mail
- If it asks you to
create a profile, type in Exchange for the name and click Ok
- Select Add a new
E-Mail Account and click Next
- Select Yes, click Next
and then select Microsoft Exchange Server
- Type in the server
name and the user name, then click on the Check Names button
- If both names become
bold and underlined, then click Next and then Finish
- If they do not
underline, then check the server name and the user name and try
again.
- Once finished, close
the Control Panel and double-click on Outlook.
